Sorry for the sudden disappearance, but my blog got hit for the 1,000th time a couple of days ago so the blog and I decided to celebrate with a makeover! We made an agreement - she ditched her readers and I ditched my friends for graphic shopping yesterday :D
We were both virgins at this. Hihi.
Dear blog was very excited and understandably indecisive on the style that suits her the most (being a true girl at this!). I was disappointed to see most of styles were either very comical, grungy or just plain boring. We were looking for something classy and a bit girlish - vintage even if possible (serious decisiveness issue, sighhhh).
I struggled learning HTML to be honest, it's a totally different language that unfortunately is not so user friendly. We decided pretty quickly on the background, if only because there's not much to choose from - until I found this but my eyeballs were already falling off their sockets by then.
As you can see in the 1st and 2nd picture, I tried graphic coloring (took this newbie 2 freaking hours to color the leaves!) only to realize that I prefer the original, black and white version (pffft). I thought it stands out more, and gives a classical feel to the blog. The third one's pretty but it's too girlish and made me felt like I was 13, what with the polka dots, ribbons, and pinky touch put together. I really liked the last one actually but the header was not mine, it was Fabulous K's and I really don't want to be stealing graphics, so I tested the layout just to take a picture of it because it's so pretty :D
I'm already missing the old layout with the red stripe bag, but nobody wears the same bag for two years (not even blogs), so it has got to go =)
That's all for now, my puffy eyes are begging me to sleep.

ReplyDeletei wanted to do a makeover too, but i tried html thing for few DAYS.i still give up. so i had the stats thing and music and very simple add ons provided by blogger. maybe one day, ill PAY someone to go makeover my blog.

Wow. That's pretty quick, learning html in 2 hours. I took 2 seconds looking at the tutorial then gave up right away. It all didn't make sense! Argh! *pulls leg hair*
ReplyDeleteNononoooo...I'm not THAT good. The background was prepared, I just copy and paste the html. I learned html to change margins, and I downloaded the tedious recolored program. (Too much time, seriously!) Hihi.

ReplyDeleteBut I have a feeling the polka dots are not staying for long :( Polka dots have this effect on me, it's like love at first sight, but very short term in nature. I cant stare at it for too long/often. Seasonal love, really :P
